Okay, so, provided anybody actually reads this, you might be wondering why I haven't updated... Or hoping I may be dead. Either way, whatever! I'm here, I'm alive, and the update starts in 3... 2... 1... Engage!

SO! I spent the weekend at Anime Expo, having been given a rather interesting opportunity. I was invited by Yamila Abraham (writer of Winter Demon and Dark Prince, and also founder of Yaoi Press) to work at the Yaoi Press booth. Of course, this means both sales and security. Of course, it was pretty cool to be scary enough to ward off potential shoplifters, and I may have discovered a hidden talent in sales. But the coolest part was, I actually had a lot of new experiences at the con. I learned marketing techniques, I learned to use a credit card machine, improved my work ethic, sold and read plenty of yaoi, and I met a helluva lot of interesting and cool people. Honestly, it was more enjoyable working at AX than the first year I went, and was simply an attendee. Scary thing was though, there was corn.... EVERYWHERE!!! (Some of you may pray you don't know what I'm talking about...) As always, there were a lot of awesome cosplayers wandering around, and sadly, I didn't get to take too many pictures. So, if you have any from this year's AX, please send! I'm also pretty bummed I didn't know Seth Green was going to be there... I would have loved to meet him! D:

Anyway, let me tell you guys something. Yamila's pretty friggin' awesome to work with. I haven't met too many people with such random and quick wit. It was startling, and frickin' hilarious. That alone makes me want to work for her again and again. I mean, provided I wasn't too much of a stick in the mud. And even though I doubt she'll ever read this.... Thanks for having me at the Yaoi Press booth this year!

In other news, I nabbed a total of 20 figures at this con. 12 from Disgaea 2, 3 from Where the Wild Things Are, Reno and Cloud from FFVII, Cloud Halloween Town Sora from Kingdom Hearts, and one random little one. I also got two commissions done of mine and :iconcinderism:'s characters by :iconjinguj:. They're so awesome! I love them! Also got some yaoi, a book and some pins from a webcomic I read, and a great image book from another series :iconcinderism: and I are into. I also got a really nice Totoro music box for Cinder, and I'm really glad she liked it. Admittedly, I really wanted to keep it, haha. But hey, I know she'll be good to it, and she loves it, so that's what really matters!

Now, for the most part, the con was really enjoyable. There were some EXTREMELY aggravating things, which I hope to address in further detail with the parties involved soon enough. Still, a productive and fairly enjoyable trip, regardless.

On a sadder note, though, on Day 2 of the convention, one of our horses died. I didn't hear about it until Day 3, while on the bus heading over to the convention center. All we know is, Red went quickly, and that's really the best you can hope for. R.I.P.

Now, since I'm back home, I've taken to going to my weight training classes with :iconcinderism:. First day back, I worked myself really hard, and my arms still feel like friggin' rock. Sore, but tough as friggin' nails. Sometimes, it hurts to see one's own gunshow. And I seem to have gotten a strange, hickey like bruise on the inside of my elbow....wtf. Anyway! I shall be working out tomor--- er, today, I mean, so I'm going to go catch myself some shut-eye!

'Nighty night!

Edit: As my dear friend mentioned, I have forgotten to talk about our hobo adventure in L.A.! So, I shall tell the story of our quest to find our way back to our hotel, fraught with peril and hairy men sleeping on the sidewalks. We had gone just down the street from our own hotel, to stop by an acquaintance's hotel, in order to pick up :iconheydevildante:'s dear Hector. Granted, as we were leaving, Wolfie raped the acquaintance's rude neighbor's key card slot with their 'Do Not Disturb' card. So, we take off running down the halls, turning the corners until we reach the elevators, where one conveniently opens just in time, like a friggin' acion movie! As we're standing there catching our breath, the doors are closing, but wait! Hector became so frightened, his hair fell right off outside the elevator! So Wolfie makes a mad grab for it, forcing the doors open, but at least reclaiming the doll's dignity. So, we make it down to the exit, and head outside. As we cross the street, it comes to our attention that we're being followed by a hobo. So, we keep going until we lose him. Only.... we're now on a different street than our hotel. So, still calm at first, we decide to try and find our way back to the street we need to be on. Then, we come upon a darker part of the area, where Wolfie spots a bum sleeping in the shadows, the only thing noticeable being his shoe sticking out. The buildings look all very run down, as if after a post apocolyptic zombie attack. Also, there are now very few streetlights. So, we're hurrying to get to the light, and finally reach it in one piece. Then, continuing on our way, we soon find ourselves in a veritable minefield of sleeping hobos! So, as we're trying to sneak past them all, one moves inside his sleeping bag. So we're all 'OMFG, RUN!' and got the hell outta there! Then, we finally come across a pretty normal looking guy, and ask him for directions. He whips out his GPS all impressively, but then it just kinda...loads really slow. Eventually, some fellow con attendees walk by, and we go and join their party, leaving the dude with his oh-so-not-impressive GPS, and make our way safely back to the hotel. I should also mention that Hector lost his hair about two or three more times during the incident, so you KNOW.... You KNOW it was scary!
